Cast Iron Skillets are a great cooking tool. My family uses them mostly for Swedish pancakes. The only problem is that the handle can get really hot! They sell covers in the store but, I have never wanted to spend the money. This is what I came up with, it is cute and it works great.
Items needed:
5"x5" scrap piece of cotton fabric
5"x5" scrap piece of warm and natural cotton batting or warm and natural insul-bright insulation
Pins
Piece of paper
marker
Step#1
Trace the handle of a cast iron pan. Add 1" to the pattern.

Thanks so much for this tutorial! I have two skillets that need covers. My skillets have a "helper" handle on the opposite side and I am going use your directions to attempt to draft a pattern for a cover for that as well. : )
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tutorial! I made a cover for my cast iron pan today and it turned out so cute and fits perfectly. :)
