Coasters-Family Style

I failed at getting my grandparent's Christmas present safely delivered to their door by Christmas Eve. It's a long story but here I am closer to St. Patty's day than Christmas and I am just getting their present completed and shipped. I made them coasters with family pictures (mostly ancestors).
First, find some small tiles at the local home improvement store and print some pictures to fit in the squares. I suggest using card stock. I didn't and my paper didn't stay smooth when I applied the Mod Podge.

Using a sponge brush apply the mod podge to adhere the picture to the tile. Coat as many times as you like and then let dry. When completely dry spray a couple of coats of Mod Podge sealer and you are done.

  1. Those are beautiful and such a good idea for family members who have it all. It is useful and a great piece for conversation. Thank you for sharing and for the great tips about paperquality to use.
